Mei Leong

'I started painting as more of a reflective and meditative practice, which provided a means of therapy and self-reflection. And since I am a very visual person, Art enables me to do this very well.

I of course love creating because it is an inherent part of me and it is a beautifully visual way of releasing messages that I want to share with the world. I hope to not only create something pleasant to look at but something that invokes an emotionally and sometimes spiritual response.

My painting is not solely just about me but for the viewer/customer to interact with and experience something too.'– Mei Leong.

We're honoured to be promoting Mei. Her work carries a strong sense of purpose; that of conveying positive messages through visual means, as well as being a means of creative therapy for herself. This is so evident in her artwork with its intense and emotive quality.

Mei demonstrates the real power of creative expression.

Bryn Sutcliffe

Bryn Sutcliffe, diagnosed with OCD & ADHD at age 6, already began showing signs of a flare for drawing as a young child; putting five fingers on hands and drawing ovals for eyes whilst other children drew dots.

‘In my teens, I began to spiral out of control. I was abusing drink and drugs and had a nervous breakdown.

I didn’t leave my house for a year, dropped out of school and did four GCSE's at home - one being art. I managed to get through a collage art class, then went onto degree level.  Here my behaviour, health and morals went downhill.

It was then, that I realised I was an alcoholic.

Fortunately, I found a solid partner and was granted a gift of release from my addiction by a God of my own understanding. I’m working hard to stay on the right path.
I graduated uni and became a self-employed artist. I mainly do work rendered in paint but also write songs and stories.

The change of life style had no effect on my creativity but increased my productivity and it is now I seek to become the best. I will take every chance I have.

I feel like I am proof, that anyone can turn their life around and make something positive from a negative. I really went from ass to asset’
